How the calculator works
Every estimate comes from route-specific market data: published operator rates, recent broker quotes and seasonal averages for that city pair, reviewed periodically. That's why a London–Nice light jet shows a different range from London–Dublin — distance, airport fees and aircraft availability all differ by route.
The figure you see is a typical all-in, one-way charter price including standard fees. It's guidance, not a quotation — for exact pricing on your dates, request quotes and licensed UK brokers will email real options, usually within a few hours.

What moves the price up or down
Positioning: if an aircraft has to fly empty to collect you, you pay for it. Routes from London are usually cheapest because so many jets are based there. Season and events: ski weekends into Geneva, the Monaco Grand Prix or summer Fridays to Ibiza can add 20–40%. Estimates are based on published operator rates and broker quotes for each route, reviewed periodically. Expect your final quote to land within the range shown in normal conditions — peak dates (school holidays, major events, ski weekends) can push prices above it.
How much does it cost to hire a private jet in the UK? +
As a rule of thumb: light jets from around £4,000–£9,000 for short European hops, midsize jets £8,000–£13,000, and heavy jets £13,000+ one way. Hourly rates run roughly £2,100–£3,300 for a light jet, £3,000–£5,500 midsize and £5,000–£8,000+ for a heavy jet.
Why do private jet prices vary so much? +
The biggest factors are aircraft positioning (where the plane starts), season and demand, airport fees, and aircraft size. An empty-leg flight on the same route can cost 50–75% less than an on-demand charter.
Does the estimate include all fees? +
The ranges reflect typical all-in one-way charter prices including standard fees. De-icing in winter, premium catering, and short-notice bookings can add to the final price — your broker quote will itemise everything.
